For more than 20 years, Treasury Brisbane has forged a number of key partnerships supporting a range of organisations, events and programs that make a difference to the wider community.
In 2014 we were proud to increase our long-term support for Brisbane Festival to become Principal Partner. Brisbane Festival positions our city as a global player, but also connects us locally. This incredible partnership of play enables more than 1,500 artists to grace our stages and more than 500,000 people the chance to join us in a month-long celebration of Brisbane.
Brisbane Racing Club
Treasury Brisbane has been a proud partner of Brisbane Racing Club for more than 15 years and naming rights sponsor of the Treasury Brisbane Ladies’ Oaks Day as part of the annual Winter Racing Carnival.
Brisbane Open House
Treasury Brisbane partners with Brisbane Open House on their quest to open to the public some of Brisbane's most loved and admired buildings, infrastructure and urban landscapes. The Treasury Brisbane buildings stand proudly at the heart of Queensland’s rich political, social and cultural history and we are honoured to share this history with the wider community via this unique event.
Brisbane is an exciting new world city and has tremendous cultural diversity. Treasury is proud to support our city’s many different multicultural events each year, including Italian Week, the Vietnamese Lunar Festival, the Asia Pacific Screen Awards and the Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival.
In 2015, Treasury was proud to be honoured as a civic champion at the prestigious Queensland Hotels Association Awards for Excellence, receiving the coveted award for ‘Most Outstanding Community Service & Achievement’.

Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland
In December 2014, Treasury Brisbane and sister property The Star Gold Coast, supported by parent company The Star Entertainment Group, pledged $3 million over three years to Ronald McDonald House SEQ, kick-started with a $1 million donation. Cerebral Palsy League
In 2016 we celebrate 14 consecutive years of partnership with Cerebral Palsy League, and 8 years as presenting partner of the annual Picnic in the Park event, which was honoured at the 2015 Lord Mayor’s Australia Day Awards as ‘Community Event of the Year’. Together with CPL, we have raised more than $2 million for vital therapies, equipment and innovative life-skills programs for people with disabilities.
Vinnies CEO Sleepout
To raise awareness for those currently experiencing homelessness, Treasury Managing Director Geoff Hogg joins other local business leaders in the annual Vinnies CEO Sleepout. This annual event remains an initiative close to the Treasury Team’s hearts: in 2014, Treasury Casino & Hotel donated $100,000 to the campaign to encourage other business leaders to take part with a $500 start-up per registration.
Gambling Community Benefit Fund
In addition to Treasury’s ongoing community partnerships, parent company The Star Entertainment Group continues to contribute to the Queensland Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation Community Benefit Funds Unit. More than $100 million has been contributed to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (previously the Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund) since 1987 for grants to community groups across Southern Queensland.
The Star Community Grants
The support of local community groups and charities plays an important role in building positive relationships between The Star and the places we call home.
The Star Community Grants Program provides support to projects and initiatives that have a positive and lasting impact on our city. It provides a mechanism to fund capital projects, events and activities to ensure a range of community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations can be supported.
